Around thirty-nine Boxes which contain unapproved doses of tramadol hydrochride of 225 mg tablets, have been intercepted by the Police in the Brong-Ahafo Region.

One Isaiah Akannyi, who got the possession of the boxes, so he had overloaded the boxes into a mini Ssangyoung vehicle, and he is in charge of that vehicle.

According to the police, the suspect was arrested at about 1:30am by police when they were on their normal patrol duties on Atebubu-Ejura highways, near Jato Zongo in the Atebubu Amanting District.

The police said the suspect has forbidden to accept and to give any solid reasons as to where he got the items from or where he was sending these banned items to.

The Brong-Ahafo Regional Police PRO, Chief Inspector Augustine Kinsley Oppong, confirmed the arrest to media, but said the suspect has been under arrest for further inquiries and questioning at the same time as the exhibits have been kept in police custody for further investigation.
