A Deputy Commissioner of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) Mr Richard Quayson has said the Ghana Beyond Aid mantra upheld by President Nana Akufo-Addo will be a delusion if debasement isn’t stemmed.
He noticed that indiscipline and disorder added to debasement put Ghana off guard in the battle against the national ulcer in this way militating against the quick financial improvement of the country.
Mr Quayson was tending to a workshop as a major aspect of the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan (NACAP) Regional Stakeholders Awareness Campaign-2018 at Sekondi in the Western Region.
It was sorted out by the Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII) in conjunction with the Ghana Newsn Agency (GNA) and CHRAJ with subsidizing from Global Affairs-Canada.
Delegates from the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Immigration Service, Attorney General’s Department, CHRAJ, Media, Ghana Education Service, Ghana Health Services, BNI, Information Services Department, MDAs Regional Coordinating Council, NCCE, Public Service among others took an interest in the workshop.
Mr Quayson sketched out that Africa loses $100 billion every year through debasement with Ghana losing over $3bn equal to GH¢13.8bn,an sum which speaks to more than 300 for each penny of all outside guide Ghana get in a year and 25 for every penny of the 2016 yearly spending gauges.
