President Nana Akufo-Addo has announced that the late previous Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi Annan, be given a full State Burial as befits his status as a worldwide symbol, negotiator and Statesman.
Tending to a seven part assignment from the group of the late previous United Nations Secretary General, at the Jubilee House, when they paid a kindness approach him, the President said all costs of the burial service will be completely dealt with by the State.
He included that the State Protocol Department will liaise with the family to work out all the full modalities for the memorial service.
The President likewise recommended that the memorial service be hung on the thirteenth of September 2018.
The appointment was driven by Head of the late Kofi Annan Family, Isaac Hooper. The others are Juliana Addaquay, niece to Kofi Annan, Sylvia Cudjoe, niece of Kofi Annan, Kojo Amoo-Gottfried, nephew of Kofi Annan, Kobina Annan, sibling of Kofi Annan, and Kojo Annan child of the late Kofi Annan.
