In the 2018 Fifa World Cup, Serbia which failed to play in the previous World Cup in Brazil, will look for success. After Montenegro had become independent, Serbia managed to qualify only for the 2010 FIFA World Cup that was held in South Africa.
In group stages, Serbia was eliminated in South Africa. This time group E member will take on Brazil, Costa Rica and Switzerland. The Balkan team had led the European qualifiers group with 21 points.
Serbia will be led by Manchester United central midfielder Nemanja Matic, Roma defender Aleksandar Kolarov, Zenit defender Branislav Ivanovic and Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
