Upper West NDC demands action against Alhaji Sulemana

Alhaji Sulemana

The National Democratic Congress [NDC] in the Upper West Region, needs President Nana Akufo-Addo to promptly take a choice on the status of the suspended Upper West Regional Minister, Alhaji Sulemana Alhassan.

As indicated by the NDC, the area can’t be left without a substantive clergyman to direct its issues.

President Akudo-Addo suspended Sulemana Alhassan on February 1, 2018, for supposedly ensuring a gathering of New Patriotic Party youth who had assaulted the territorial facilitator of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO).

He was suspended pending an examination concerning his lead.

In Sulemana Alhassan’s place, the administration said the Deputy Upper West Regional Minister, Amidu Ishaq, was to go about as Regional Minister.

In any case, tending to the media, the Upper West Regional Communications Officer of the NDC, Isaah Kantagyere, said the President should be definitive on the issue.

As indicated by him, “as the most youthful and slightest created area in Ghana, we can’t bear to be a suspended locale in Ghana.”

He said the Presidency should append some desperation to the examination, similarly as it has done on account of some administration authorities blamed for bad behavior.

“We encourage the President to take a choice on the status of our Regional Minister at the earliest opportunity… we are persuaded that the speed with which you have cleared your representatives of bad behavior, the instance of our Regional Minister won’t be unique,” Mr. Kantagyere said.
