VP Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has dropped a trace of the credits of the one to be designated as the Special Prosecutor, a day after President Akufo-Addo had marked the bill into law.

Although his description fell short of pinpointing who would actually receive the presidential nod for the top anti-graft post, conjectures among Ghanaians have gone overdrive.

The Special Prosecutor, the VP stated, would be a man of uprightness and one with perfect good remaining in the Ghanaian culture. Dr Bawumia dropped the indication when he was tending to the 86th yearly meeting of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Pomadze, Central Region, as the Special Guest of Honor yesterday.

VP Bawumia, on Thursday, said the marking of the Special Prosecutor’s Bill by the President into law is a huge advance and assurance by government to battle debasement.

He said the enactment would guarantee that both the over a wide span of time open officers would be under the magnifying lens and considered responsible for their activities and inactions.

This, he stated, would help the legislature to battle defilement and guarantee the judicious utilization of the characteristic assets for the advantage of all.

‘The Special Prosecutor Act will be an instrument to help guarantee teach and am certain by the finesse of Allah, when the President makes the arrangement of the Special Prosecutor, we will see someone who has the honesty and validity to attempt this significant errand that the country is sitting tight for.
