MTN Ghana foundation has cut sod for the commencement of a 220 capacity Library and ICT center project for the New Juaben Senior High School (NJUASCO) in the New Juaben Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The ICT center project is estimated at a cost of GHS 602,150 and comprises of 200 seater library, 20 seater ICT center and furniture supply for the library and the ICT center.
The project is expected to be completed in six months and to be expected to benefit more than 2,124 students of the institution as well as teachers and other staff.
Ag. Corporate Services Executive at MTN, Mr. Samuel Koranteng said while speaking at the ceremony before the sod cutting, said his outfit believed that an integrated library made up of hard and ICT area was a source of providing comprehensive information needed by students to positively influence academic performance.
Mr. Samuel Koranteng acknowledged the fact that the project when completed will provide students with secured and conducive learning environment and give access to relevant information and encourage the learning of ICT.
