A magistrate court has remanded a 23 years old man into prison custody in Hohoe Municipality of the Volta Region. He accused for stealing his brother’s Cocoa Seeds and plantain from the farm.
The court remanded Godsway Kofi Akwa after he self-confessed for stealing 3 sacks of cocoa seeds and plantain, worth GHC 850.
While presenting the case before court, the Police Prosecutor detailed the complainant Emmanuel Akwa reported that the alleged went to his farm in the night to gather three sacks of cocoa seeds without permission. He has left these seeds to dry. Emmanuel Akwa is a real brother to the accused.
He further said that some of his neighbors told him that they saw accused carrying sacks from the farm. Then, he reported the case to police for his custody and further interrogations. At the court, Godsway confessed committing the act but with clarifications.
The court asked him to remand into custody and will reappear on 22nd of November for the verdict.
