A Chinese national stormed the palace of a sub-Chief of Tamale on Tuesday night to cause his arrest. The chief has charges of stealing vehicle of a Chinese national three months ago.
The Chinese national along with his Ghanaian worker depart Accra to take custody of vehicle. They also demanded that Mohammed Hafiz, Chief of entertainment at Dakpemah Palace and head of Tamale Metropolitan Assembly Taskforce should arrest.
His Ghanaian worker and translator named as Ibrahim also spoken to a group of assemblymen at the Dakpemah Palace. He did so before meeting with chief and elders to address the theft accusation.
According to him, Chinese national run a company in Accra and they gave him the vehicle for sale. He further said that assembly members and the chief visited Accra in August this year.
They showed interest in buying the vehicle but escaped to Tamale during a test drive moment. The chief demanded to test drive the vehicle but later inform him that he was travelling with the vehicle to Tamale as he has to respond to an emergency call from chief of Tamale, His Royal Highness Mohammed Alhassan Dawuni.
The sub-chief promised to transfer the money into his account but he didn’t do so until three months now prompting the visit.
Later, Ibrahim came out after long and exhaustive private session. He told that the chief gave back the vehicle to them and implored on behalf of his sub-chief.
