The Fire ripped through four floors in main parliament building in Cameroon’s capital Yaoundé. It has also badly damaged the building infrastructure especially destroyed main opposition party’s offices.
However, Firefighters succeeded to extinguish the blaze before it could spread the parliamentary chamber. The cause of blaze isn’t clear now. The fire flares up at 9:50pm Cameroon time. There has no indication of any casualties so far.
Moreover, the national assembly had talked over the budget in this week’s session. According to Communication Minister, Issa Tchiroma the fire probably accidental, but, an investigation would conclude the cause.
The main opposition Social Democratic Front party (SDF) stated that we have remain in parliament for 22 years, and all documentation both soft or hard has consumed.
