It is not the very first time that this thing has happened that Copies of Call of Duty were stolen before launch and with Call of Duty: WW2 unveiling just approaching, a man has been charged with stealing copies of the game and then afterwards selling those stolen copies.
A man from Terre Haute, Indiana has been accused of theft and crime against the intellectual property for robbing copies of the PS4 version of Call of Duty: WW2 from a factory possessed by Sony. Sony has a DADC facility in the area where the company manufactures its DVDs, CDs, and Blu-Ray discs.
As stated in the report, the man had been selling the game with the cost of $45 on eBay and a lot of discs were stolen from the factory sometimes earlier this month which also contained Madden NFL 18.
Moreover, it is not yet known how that man got hold of Call of Duty: WW2 copies as no record has been found of him working at the factory.
In the related news, Call of Duty: WW2 has not even got presented yet and news about the Call of Duty title of the next year has by now began to make rounds on the internet. As stated by the industry analyst, next year’s Call of Duty will be Call of Duty Black Ops 4. It got predicted that it is a part of the company’s note to investor’s about its worries about Activision’s financial performance in the year 2018.
Moreover, whereas Activision is yet to disclose the number of maps the game will feature at unveiling but, a report has come out hinting that there will be 10 multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: WW2 presented at the unveiling.
Sledgehammer Games is the developer of the first-person action shooter, Call of Duty: WW2 and is planned to get launched on November 3, 2017, for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
