The National Organizer of the defeated National Democratic Congress, Mr Kofi Adams has called on party supporters to stop accusing party officials of not winning the 7 December polls.
Following the party’s defeat, many members in numerous areas of the country blamed the leadership of the NDC and Members of Parliament of different regions who didn’t work for their region for failing to secure a victory for the party.
Many persons are accusing President Mahama that his inconsistent nature is the reason for defeat and that outgoing government had made many mistakes in handling state affairs.
Kofi Adam, who also served as the 2016 Campaign Coordinator of the party, urged party supporters to not lose hope, re-focus their energies and wait for the next 2020 elections.
He made these comments in a radio interview. He said, ‘Maybe the person you are blaming for not receiving your phone call is busy somewhere else or doing some other stuff. It is also possible that when you are calling him at that time he is busy. Try to understand the situations. Don’t overreact.’
‘I always try to avoid the blame because you don’t know about the other side of the picture, you are just seeing a picture from one perspective. You can’t see the other perspective.’
