Neutrilizing the boss
Once you have got totally kitted out and all of the parts for the Neutrilizer, head to the Main Street area and build the Neutrilizer at the buildable table at the end of the Main Street, under the Main Street Bridge.
Hold the USE button on the table and build the Aethereum Neutrilizer, then press the USE button on it one more time to activate the boss fight and enter the "Point of no return" which is what it is, there is no turning back, no time to get cold feet, your committed, you need to see it through now.....be brave.
The Aetherium Nuetrilizer will levitate up into the air from the table and a huge energy surge will blast out, clearing the debris of the twisted metal that was behind the table, revealing a path that the Aetherium Nuetrilizer now travel down and you will have to escort it along, staying close to it.

Stay close to the Aetherium Nuetrilizer when it has spawned and it will eventually start making its way down the now cleared street behind the buildable table.
As it moves down the street and your saving its bacon every step of the way, it will periodically run out of fuel when it gets to certain points along its route. In order to refuel it, you will need to use the Chrysalax to smash the orange crystals that are scattered along its route, pick up the Catalyzed Crystal Shard inside and then insert it into the machine.
It will periodically read out its fuel status so that you know when a crystal will be needed before it conks out. Some crystals may not be all on ground level, some may require you to climb up some of the ladders you can see dotted along the sides of the street to get up to fire escapes and platforms that the crystals have spawned on up high....they don't make it easy for you and want to give you some exercise as you do the Easter egg to help keep in shape.
When the Aetherium Nuetrilizer makes it to the end of the street, it will shut down and there will be a large door blocking the way at the end of this street. This is the entrance to the bossand when you go in its either kill or be killed, you and your team mates, or just yourself, and the boss will be in there and its either you or him. There can be only one as Highlander says.....or 4 if on co-op.
The good news is, once the machine has stopped, it will spawn in the following for you to use before entering the boss fight:
- Pack A Punch Machine
- Upgrade Station
- Crafting Table
- Wunderfizz Perk Machine
- Ammo Crate
This is your very last chance to get what you need before taking on the boss so go nuts and spend all that saved up money on something special for yourself.
When ready, take a deep breath and approach the CONTAINMENT DOOR that is the only thing between you and the boss now, a thin sheet of metal he could probably tear open with his little finger.....but not trying to scare you or anything, simply hold the USE button on the door and in we shall go.
You can't contain this boss
Once the Containment door opens, you will be in the TOWN SQUARE area. Here you will find the larger than life Forsaken boss in this area, as well as Maxis. She will be doing some gravity defying floating up in the air with purple glowing aura beneath her. Head over to Maxis that will be indicated via the on screen waypoint.
When you get to her, stand underneath her in the purple circle and start killing zombies to charge "Maxis Essence Level". All you have to do is kill the zombies in anyway you can within this circle and it will start the essence level progress going up.
Once her essence level has been totally charged, she will go over to the one of the humungous laser cannon guns that are on the left and right hand side of this area and charge the cannon for you....but don't scratch that itchy trigger finger yet, hold your horses soldier. Maxis will then move to another area and will hover in the air again with the purple aura beneath her, simply do the same again, kill zombies in the purple circle and charge her essence level.
Once it is completed, she will charge the other gun for you. Now both laser cannon guns are charged and poised to fire, we need to take the shoulder pad armour off the Forsaken as he's not getting to big for his boots as such.....just his shoulder pads. Keep shooting the shoulder pads until you hear that satisfying crunch of it falling off from both shoulders. You will see the blue bar above his health bar disappear when you have knocked the first batch of armour off him.
Then run over to one of the huge guns and aim it at the now exposed weak spots on his shoulders. Try to get a nice clean shot as if you do not do enough damage to him, his health will start to regenerate. However don't panic when this happens as you can simply charge Maxis Essence Level each time and she will then go and recharge another laser cannon for you to use to have another go with, no worries.
Once the Forsaken health has went down to about halfway, a cut scene will play and then you will be thrown back into the game one more time.
The game mechanics are exactly the same here except the Forsaken will have some new attacks up his sleeve, a new weak spot located under armour and you just charge up Maxis Essence level the same way as before so she can charge the laser cannons again for you.
Its pretty straight forward and not too difficult to do. The weak spot will need to be revealed by destroying the armour that is now on his stomach, expose the weak spot, fire the laser cannon and destroy this part of him
Then lastly, its a rinse and repeat of the previous 2 steps again, charge Maxis Essence Level, charge the guns, remove the armour that now appears on his head, fire the laser cannons at his head and say good night to the Forsaken forever! Was not nice knowing ya!
