"The Stay” (2021): Feel free to Go
The domestic drama done as horror Flick “The Stay” is not really overtly bad. Then again, it is not especially good.
The ensemble performances here are not entirely wooden. By the same token, they’re not by any any stretch golden, either.
Bonus points for the brutal yet humanitarian conclusion to a mostly stilted story.
One question for director/co-writer/co-star Scott Hamm. What the hell wasthat your strange-ass caretaker was going at so furiously mid-movie there? Guess we’ll never know. Inexplicably you didn’t bother giving it up to us.
In the immortal words of a prominent national politico...Come on, man!
