New Surrey Jazz Club Opens

Simply Swing has launched its own monthly Surrey Jazz Club in their home town of Farnham called Jazz At The Ivy Room.  Opening in November 2016 with a “Rat Pack Refreshed Show” the Club has quickly attracted a regular audience and has been full to capacity each month since.  It’s the rhythm section of Simply Swing – Sandra (piano), Mick (double bass) and Jeff (drums) – that forms the house band and each month we invite guest artists to join us.  These guest musicians are the UK’s finest jazz instrumentalists and vocalists.  Our aim is to bring world-class jazz to a local audience with an emphasis on value for money and accessible entertainment.

Farnham’s First Jazz and Supper Club

Jazz At The Ivy Room runs on the last Wednesday of the month and is located in The Ivy Room of The Farnham Conservative Club, Ivy House, Ivy Lane, Farnham, Surrey GU9 7PQ.  With a curry available before the shows at 7 pm and drinks at club prices, we’re bringing back a cabaret supper club environment right in the heart of Farnham town centre.  The jazz shows start at 7.45 pm until 10.15 pm and are open to everyone.  Purchasing your tickets in advance is essential as we sell out very quickly (see what’s on for listings and ticket links).

The Ivy Room is a Grade II listed 18th Century building with a wonderful vintage feel.  Simply Swing supplies its top class Bose PA system, a star cloth, uplighting, candlelit supper tables and it is this attention to detail, coupled with the vintage venue, that brings you the experience of stepping back in time to a 1950’s New York cabaret club.  These truly are unique evenings of incredible entertainment.
