In a fashion image, though set up, the moment I try to capture is spontaneous and natural. Great deal of attention is paid to the fall and the look of the garment, so that it comes out looking its best and classy. The make up on the models is very natural, the use of Photoshop is also minimal, so their skin tone and the color of the garments look real and not synthetic, as I like to keep a very realistic feel for the images. Having started my early photography life as a documentary photographer my approach is very spontaneous and candid.

Among the master Fashion photographers, I admire the works of Richard Avedon and William Klein. Richard Avedon who is considered the father of fashion photography was also a documentary photographer in his early life and so was William Klein.

Each fashion image is a piece of art for me it must work by itself creatively, aesthetically should have expression and mood, so whatever you photograph be it a garment or accessories should be brought to life.
