Ayushmann Khurrana, who has had the Dream year 2018, is known for his Film choices that are quirky or are based on rarely touched upon social subjects. Recently, Ayushmann even shared the National Film Award for Best Actor Male (for Andhadhun) with Vicky Kaushal (for Uri).

The latest upcoming film of Ayushmann is Dream Girl in which is playing the titular role. Finally, the movie trailer was out on Monday! The movie also stars Annu Kapoor, Nushrat Bharucha,  in the pivotal roles.

In the trailer, we can see that Ayushmann playing the role of Lokesh Bisht is a stage artist who is expert in playing female mythological characters like Radha, Sita, and Draupadi in local plays. Also, Annu Kapoor, who is playing his father in the film, wants him to do a ‘normal’ job where he does not have to dress up like a woman. So, he ends up choosing a job of ‘dial a friend’ where he talks to strangers as Puja. The things take a hilarious twist for Lokesh when Puja's 'friends' fall for her.

Nushrat can also be seen briefly in the trailer as Ayushmann's girlfriend, who has no idea of who his alter-ego Puja is. The film is produced by Balaji Telefilms and written and directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa.

Previously, Ayushmann told news agency IANS that he believes in making films which "have different subject lines and have unique concepts attached to them." He further added-

"It is the right kind of scripts that you choose, I've always believed that content is the king."

The film Dream Girl is slated to hit the theatres on September 13.
