We’ve reached the end of Han’s solo story. Han has had his hands full throughout this entire Dragon Void Race, and it doesn’t seem like this last issue is going to be any different. Which informant is the traitor? Will Han win the race? Will Chewie and Dorae finally hook up? Let’s find out.
We jump right into the Dragon Void race and see Han fire on some of the Imperial ships that are trying to arrest the racers. Loo Re Anno steps in to save the day by opening up some kind of window that let’s a giant jellyfish-looking creature in to attack the ships.
Han is trying to figure out who the traitor is, but isn’t having a whole lot of luck until he takes a shot in the dark and makes an accusation. Turns out he’s right and Bot attacks him with poison. Chewie turns the needle on him, though and Bot falls asleep. Now that Bot is out and nothing to worry about anymore, well boogity boogity let’s go racing.
Han not only evades the pursuing Empire, but he manages to come within a few seconds of winning the race. Instead, he turns back and takes the Imperial ships head on. Loo Re Anno wins the race, but then returns through the winner’s portal with her lost people to fight the Empire. Han heads back to the Rebellion and meets up with Leia. We end our Series with a nice moment between the two future lovers.
This has been a really fun series since the beginning, and I had a blast with the conclusion. I love that Loo Re Anno turned out to be the hero and saved her people. Mark Brooks has provided fantastic art throughout this entire series and I’m sad to see it go. I just hope he and Marjorie Lie get put on other books soon.
Bits and Pieces:
An exciting end to an exciting series. Han Solo and his crew have given us a fun little side story that shows who Han is as a character. I highly recommend that any Han Solo fans out there read this series.
