Turns out Hasbro isn’t done with its exciting toy reveals, True Believers, as they have some cracking new 6-inch action figures for us this Summer. I sat down with the real Marvel addicts in the house – they’re 13 and 10 years old – to get their views this week, and it’s interesting how we agreed and differed. The big surprise was how much we all liked the Dormammu. I’m not a huge fan of the character in the comics, although between the MCU and Lego Marvel my affection’s increased somewhat – but we were all really impressed by the Figure, and without doubt we all agreed it’s the standout. For me, my favourite has to be the phenomenal Lady Deathstrike. Dynamic, exciting, characterful – it’s a stunning figure, as much display piece as it is action figure, a really superb vision of the character. For my eldest, it’s all about Red Skull: he feels it captures the comic vibe perfectly. I think it looks really goofy, but what do I know, eh?! For kid #2, it’s The Hood, which surprised me. I suppose it’s that regular guy feel, that anybody can just become this amazing superhero with this tattered [...]
