*Webbies, it’s Friday, we made it, go ahead and check out Social Heat. Sherri Shepherd asked Vivica A. Fox what some inquiring minds want to know if she would be willing to spin da’ block with ex-boo thang 50 Cent, to which the actress responded, “Well, Ben and Jen did it again, why not!” Only one problem, Curtis is currently booed up with his baddie girlfriend, Cuban Link, and we don’t think she would approve.

Spike Lee and Ryan Coogler linked up, and Ryan gave the Oscar winner director a signed poster of Marvel’s blockbuster hit “Black Panther.” “Good Friday Morning. Yesterday My Brother, RYAN COOGLER Graced Us With A Visit To The Office/Museum Of 40 Acres And A Mule Filmworks Here In Da Republic Of Brooklyn. His Signed Poster Of BLACK PANTHER Is Between Us. 2 BLACK 2 STRONG.YA-DIG? SHO-NUFF,” wrote Spike. We are basking in the Black excellence!

We had to shout out to our auntie Tamela Mann; today is her 57th burfday. Make sure y’all stream her “Overcomer (Deluxe)” in her honor today.

In celebration of Black Music Month, Babyface had his Tiny Desk concert. NPR staffer Nikki Birch wrote, “I was working late when Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds first arrived at the office to rehearse for his Tiny Desk concert. Within moments, it was clear it would be an exceptional performance. The next day, my colleagues waited patiently to see the legendary singer, songwriter, and producer. Because when it comes to matters of the heart, Babyface has turned our angst, our triumphs, our devastation, into timeless love songs that have scored the romances of more than one generation.” As the King of R&B, he could only have the most elite backgrounders, and he enlisted vocal powerhouses Avery Wilson, Chante Moore, and Tank, who all deserve their own Tiny Desk concerts. Check out how they all sang down the house.
