The makers of Ajay Devgn starrer Raid had unveiled the first poster of the film early in the morning today. The film also features Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla. The film directed by Raj Kumar Gupta will see Ajay as Amay Patnaik, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax in Lucknow.

The poster looked quite good because of its stunning background and now the makers have released the trailer of the film and man, we must say it’s very impactful. The trailer has Ajay Devgn in a powerful role. It looks like this is going to be Ajay’s next big film. We can’t ignore the fact that Ajay has given us some of the amazing movies that bring about change in the society due to its message-driven content. Ileana D’cruz plays the role of Ajay’s wife and they look quite good in the trailer.

The movie is said to be set in the ’80s and its plot is centred around a famous income tax raid that happened in UP. Devgn is reportedly playing an IT officer in the movie. Raid will be the second collaboration of Ileana D’Cruz with Devgn after 2017’s Baadshaho. The script is written by Ritesh Shah who has been associated with Pink and Airlift.

The film which is slated to release on March 16th this year. The two had romanced on screen for the first time in Baadshaho. Director Raj Kumar Gupta is known to make the film with a touch of realism to it so we are expecting Raid to give more insights into the case of the 80s. His last film Ghanchakkar did not cash in at the box-office, so let’s see if Raid does it for him.

A Gulshan Kumar presentation of a T-Series and Panorama Studios production, Raid will be produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. For now, Ajay Devgn is busy with his upcoming comedy film Total Dhamaal. He will also be seen in an untitled rom-com directed by Akiv Ali.
