Timbaland and Swizz Beatz have resolved their legal issues with Triller regarding their popular Verzuz platform. Weeks after filing a lawsuit against the company regarding Verzuz, all sides appear to have come to an agreement on the matter of missed payments.

In August, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz reportedly filed a $28 million lawsuit against Triller regarding missed payments. The lawsuit claims that Triller unequivocally and unconditionally guaranteed” to pay Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, but failed to do so. In response, Triller claimed that the dispute was the result of a “misunderstanding” regarding the matter.

“We hope it is nothing more than a misunderstanding driven by lawyers,” the company told The New York Post.

“We do not wish to air our dirty laundry in the press, but we have paid Swizz and Tim millions in cash and in stock.”

Despite stating their willingness to take the lawsuit to court, it appears that all sides have agreed upon a settlement. A press release states that Triller has increased “the ownership stake given to the artists that Timbaland & Swizz Beatz brought to Triller as part of the original deal.” In return, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz will continue to work with the company for the time being.

“VERZUZ has always been a platform that is by the artists, for the artists and with the people,” Timbaland and Swizz Beatz said.

“We’re glad to come to an amicable agreement with Triller and continue giving fans the music and community that they’ve come to know and love from the brand.”

Having resolved their dispute, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz can move forward with future battles, such as Jermaine Dupri vs. Diddy.
