The Cleveland Cavaliers just agreed to the largest deal in the franchise history. The team will sign their All-Star guard Darius Garland to a five-year designated rookie Contract Extension worth $193 million, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN.

Just like Ja Morant’s contract extension, Garland’s could go up to $231 million if the 6-foot-1 guard is selected for one of the three All-NBA teams next season.

Now, with Garland under contract for the next six years, the team has also made some moves to add depth to a roster that surprised everyone last season reaching the play-in tournament in the eighth seed of the East after three straight seasons in the bottom of the conference.

Last season, Garland was vital, along with Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen, for the team’s first .500 season since LeBron left the Cavs. Garland averaged a career-high 21.7 points per game with 3.3 rebounds and 8.6 assists.

The one question left for the team is restricted free agent Collin Sexton. Since Garland arrived, the former first-round draft pick has been in trade rumors. Currently, there have been no reports about his future with the Cavaliers or another team.
