Kevin Hart & STX Will Partner On Two New Comedy Films

Kevin Hart & STXFilms will collaborate for 2 new comedy films after the success of ‘The Upside’. Cred. Variety.

Kevin Hart and STX have been working on a pretty fruitful relationship. With the success of ‘The Upside’ where Hart stars alongside Bryan Cranston in the buddy comedy, STX is looking to ink a new deal with the comedian for two new films. ‘Upside’ has already made over $47 million in North American box offices and that’s more than enough to call it a success.

Hart has his eyes set on starring both projects, which are entirely different. The first film is one called ‘Black Friday’ that has a ‘Freaky Friday’ type of story attached to it. The second is an untitled international romantic comedy that has no actors attached to it at all. But regardless, STX wants to cash in on their relationship with Hart.

It’s crystal clear audiences love Kevin and they want to see him in a variety of roles,” said Adam Fogelson, chairman of STXfilms. “This partnership allows STXfilms to take the successful collaboration we started with ‘The Upside’ and extend it to new projects that further build on our mission to work with the best in the business to grow our profitable business model.”

There is no release dates on either film but this just continues to secure Kevin Hart’s spot in the box-office. Despite some hiccups along the way this year, Hart’s 2019 is shaping up to be a big one.
