Los Angeles Lakers revealed on Sunday that Lonzo Ball will miss between 4 to 6 weeks with an ankle sprain. Ball underwent an MRI that revealed a Grade 3 left ankle sprain for the Lakers young guard. Ball injured his ankle during the Lakers Saturday night loss against the Houston Rockets during the third quarter and had to be carried off the court by his teammates after he suffered the injury.

Ball left the game with 8 points and 11 assists in the team’s loss 138-134 to the Rockets. Currently the Lakers are dealing with LeBron James groin injury and a Rajon Rondo finger sprain.

Ball has been the Lakers starting guard for almost the entire season, only being on the bench in the first two games of the season. This season Ball is averaging 9.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 30 minutes per game for the Lakers.
