Rajon Rondo will see his season take a quick pause after suffering a broken hand. As the Los Angeles Lakers secured a 126-117 home win on Wednesday night over the Portland Trail Blazers and celebrated another milestone in the career of LeBron James, their point guard came down with a relatively serious injury.

Following comes from Mike Trudell of Spectrum Sportsnet.

The immediate answer for the Lakers at point guard will be Lonzo Ball. Coming into the season, it looked like the second year point guard would be relegated to a bench role this year as the Lakers brought in the veteran Rondo. But Ball has seen starting minutes in 11 of the 13 games he played this year and got heavy minutes when Rajon Rondo was suspended for three games due to his involvement in an altercation with Chris Paul.
