‘Terminator’ & ‘Charlie’s Angels’ Reboots Move Release Dates To Old ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Date

The Untitled Terminator Reboot. Cred Paramount Pictures.

The Wonder Woman sequel moving its release date was a little bit puzzling at first glace. However, when you look at what Warner Brothers is planning, it makes a lot of sense. They moved the Gal Gadot starring superhero flick from it’s initial November 1st release date to a June 2020 release.

Why? Well, it’s because they want to give more breathing room for their Joaquin Phoenix ‘Joker’ adaptation which is set to release on October 4th, 2019. Which means two things. Firstly, they are going all in on Phoenix’s film. Second, this gives Wonder Woman just a tad bit more hype heading into 2020. After all, the movie did gross over $800 million worldwide.

Now it looks like two other films have shifted their release dates in order to fill the void that Wonder Woman left on November 1st. Sony announced today that their ‘Terminator’ Reboot will both be moving to the date, while Paramount announced that ‘Charlie’s Angels’ will be moving as well.

Angels were set to release on September 27th, 2019 but now it’s shifted just a little bit over 3 weeks to the day after Halloween. Terminator, on the other hand, is just releasing 2 weeks earlier than expected to move from November 15th to November 1st.

James Cameron is directing the reboot for Terminator. Elizabeth Banks is directing the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ reboot which will star Kristen Stewart. With both films slated for the same release date, you can expect production to start sooner rather than later.
