The league office plans to look into’s Kelly Oubre Jr. pregame outfit choice on Friday night before the team played the Cavaliers, according to a report from ESPN.com.
Oubre Jr’s jacket was laced with explicit language, according to the report:
The NBA is planning to review Wizards Forward Kelly Oubre Jr.’s decision to wear a jacket with profane language to his team’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night.
The black jacket was stitched with “f— you” in white lettering, repeated vertically down the back, and Oubre turned to show it to a bank of cameras outside as he was arriving at the locker room.
Oubre Jr. has been fined for a number of things during his career, including a $15,000 penalty for his involvement in an altercation with the Golden State Warriors last week. He was also suspended one game in a Playoff series against Boston this spring.
Oubre Jr. has developed into a useful asset for the Wizards, averaging 12.3 points in the team’s first eight games. The Wizards traded for him on draft night in 2015.
Washington went on to lose in their game against Cleveland, giving up a season-high 57 points to LeBron James.
