Ed Sheeran Cancels Tour Dates After Accident

Singer Ed Sheeran suffered multiple injuries to his arms following a bike accident. This forced him to cancel multiple dates in Asia during his current tour.

Sheeran took to Instagram to break the news to fans and potential concertgoers. In his post he wrote, “A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future. Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong. I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that. Please stay tuned for more details.”

Sheeran had posted a photo of his arms being in a sling and cast the day before breaking the news.

The ‘Shape of You’ singer is set to wrap Asia’s leg of the tour Nov. 19. By the sounds of these injuries, it’s going to take longer than he expects to be in tour mode. I just hope he can swing back at some point to make up for the missed dates.

Check out the Instagram post below and stay tuned for updates on Sheeran’s health.
