VIDEO: Travis Scott – ‘Birds in the Trap’ (Short Film)

Travis Scott rewards fans with ‘Birds in the Trap’ short film.

In 2016, Travis Scott dropped his sophomore album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. Six months later, Scott releases a short film titled Birds in the Trap in honor of the album reaching one billion streams. To add to the accomplishment, Birds is one of Apple Music’s top ten most streamed albums. Birds in the Trap is 14 minutes long and directed by Fleur Fortune. The start of the film shows Scott, played as himself, riding through the city. It’s a normal day until Scott ends up in a car crash and hospitalized. From there, the film’s images shift to be centered on the crash scene in a more aesthetic view. There are images of gory bodies, people who appear as cyborgs, and abandon buildings. This is all while songs from Birds are the diegetic and non-diegetic sounds of the picture. Watch the short film now in Apple Music.
