Last week, my mom and I virtually presented two fun panels for the most recent Virtual Doll Convention, Summer Fling. Rachel had asked if we wanted to do something themed around big toddler sized dolls. My mom, as some of you know, has a bit of a collection of them, so we thought why not! We love sharing our collections with others! I did a quick Q and A with Rachel Hoffman, organizer of the Virtual Doll Convention, earlier this year that may interest you if you missed it!

While most of the panels for the VDC: Summer Fling are for convention attendees only, both our videos premiered earlier than the show and are available to everyone. They’re linked below for you to view, save to your playlist or share with your friends or doll clubs.

This video puts the spotlight on my mom’s collection of big dolls! Some of them are grocery store dolls, others are reproductions and a few are original Patti Playpal dolls.

Our second video is all about the basics of cleaning your dolls. We don’t talk about restoration. This video is as basic as they come, but will give you a few tips on good cleaning products for your dolls, if, for example, you just picked up a doll from a thrift shop or doll show that needs a little TLC.

In case you missed it, I participated in her last convention, as well, and did a fun video on some of my favorite pieces in my collection. It covers a little bit of everything– Kurhn, Skipper, Madame Alexanders and more!

It looks like the next convention is coming up early 2021, California Dreamin’ Around The World – SHOWTIME! – Virtual Doll Convention, January 13-17, 2021. More details as they come.
