Glenn Silber On The Current State Of Art And Culture.

Glenn Silber was nominated for an Oscar for 1979’s THE WAR AT HOME, a seminal documentary about how the war in Vietnam tore apart the city of Madison, WI. Currently in re-release after a digital restoration, it is a film that speaks to this generation about the power of protest.

When I spoke with Silber on October 25, 2018, we talked about the restoration process, his own political evolution after arriving in Madison for college, and why the man with the last word in the film earned that spot. Full interview to follow, but for now, Here is Silber’s take of the state of our nation. Caution: there is an expletive here, but I can’t think of a better way for that particular sentiment to be expressed.
