When former Rep. Tom Price was appointed President Donald Trump‘s Health and Human Services secretary, he left his seat representing Georgia’s sixth district vacant.
And the race to fill it is turning out to be quite the battle.
Jon Ossoff, one of five Democrats running to fill Price’s seat, has raised an unprecedented $3 million for the race. Normally, a Democrat running for this particular seat hopes to raise anywhere from $10,000 to $20,000, according to Vox. More than 7,000 people have already volunteered for his campaign.
Even Hollywood is coming out to get him elected. Actors Alyssa Milano and Christopher Gorham are in Georgia on Monday, driving voters to their early voting polling places before the special election on April 18.
“No joke,” tweeted Gorham, former star of Covert Affairs and Ugly Betty. “Call 678-636-9551 and @Alyssa_Milano and I WILL PICK YOU UP and take you to early vote! Now. @ossoff #Georgia6th.”
And it looks like they’re making good on their promise.

Gorham said that he and Milano are currently filming the TV movie Insatiable in the district, which sits just north of Atlanta, and have a “vested interest” in flipping the seat.
