“The force is with you young Skywalker, but you are not a Jedi yet”

Just this week Hot Toys unveiled their latest Star Wars Hot Toy figure which is Bespin Luke Skywalker, I know that Sideshow or Hoy Toys released a Bespin Luke figure a few years ago which came with a battle-damaged head.

As with a lot of modern Hot Toys figures this Bespin Luke Skywalker this Luke has a lot of features including interchangeable hairpieces, movable eyes, and light-up features. The likeness to Mark Hamill is very close and accurate. The costume looks fantastic and fits very well and doesn’t look oversized in any way and is made to a high standard.

The belt, lightsaber, and blaster pistol look very impressive and realistic for the scale. Luke comes with seven including two pairs of hands and three separate interchangeable hands. The other hairpiece is from the latter half of their battle on Bespin and looks very accurate to how his hair was in the film.

The light-up feature is the lightsaber blades one which is static and the other in motion. Hot Toys often do that for their Jedi & Sith characters and Hasbro has only done it once so far in the Black Series line for Count Dooku. Not only that but the figure’s base lights up too which is a part of the carbon freezing chamber which gives off an orange tint light which is very accurate to the film.

There’s also a Deluxe version which comes with a Dagobah-themed base as well as a Luke Skywalker in Darth Vader helmet head to recreate the iconic cave sequence. Of course the Deluxe version costs a bit more. I have pre-ordered the standard version from Star Action Figures as Empire is my favorite of the Star Wars films and the Bespin outfit is my favorite outfit Luke has worn. This figure is scheduled to be released in September 2023 and it’ll be well worth the wait.
