Grammy's and its connection with racism would seem an unlikely platform for Tamika Mallory and Celebrity BLM Activists to promote the black empowerment brand yet they were present allocating Justice against police brutality and beyond. Commercial exploitation to make racist entertainment institutions " Grammy's" appear sympathetic to black suffering seems to be a popular end road to black sympathy. Could you imagine Malcolm or Martin making a cameo at the 2021 Grammy's? I don't think 'Cardi B and 'Megan Thee Stallion shaking their ass and salivating their tongues gonna liberate blacks folk from racism and discrimination. You see any negotiable change in the entertainment industry gonna happen behind the cameras when sincere black activists demand change and stop selling out to corporate slapdowns. Black entertainers must realize their on-stage performance must economically prosper them back into BLACK communities as missionaries building youth community programs and advocating for police reform. Activist, you can't serve two masters and millions of dumb-down fans. This new brand of urban activists must never appropriate black solidarity for capitalist gain.
