Bhangra Paa Le Director Sneha Taurani On Father Ramesh: I Don't Feel The Pressure To Live Up To His Work [EXCLUSIVE]

Ramesh Taurani's daughter, Sneha, is all set to enter the film industry with her directorial debut, Bhangra Paa Le, featuring Sunny Singh and Ruskhar Dhillon. The movie was earlier supposed to release November 1 but is now pushed to January 3, 2020. The Sunny Kaushal and Rukshar Dhillon starrer clashes with Rajkummar Rao-Rakul Preet Singh's Shimla Mirchi and Priyaank Sharma's Sab Kushal Mangal. Sneha Taurani's directorial debut was a roller coaster ride in itself for the lady. Working on this project was a learning experience for Sneha, who always wanted to tell stories.

Ahead of Bhangra Paa Le's release, Sneha Taurani exclusively told us about what led her to take up this dance film as her directorial debut. Going down the memory lane, she said, "I was working as an associate director to Akarsh Khurana on Karwaan, which was produced by RSVP only. That time around, I had a conversation with Karwaan's associate producer about what I was developing and she told me about the projects that RSVP was working around. Then, she (associate producer) told me about this dance film (Bhangra Paa Le). And I got attracted to this idea as I am passionate about music and love it. So, I gave it a thought and started developing this story. I met our writer, Dhiraj Ratan, who narrated the script to me and I completely fell in love with the story." All the aforementioned things attracted her to make Bhangra Paa Le.

When asked if she feels pressure to live up to the work that her father, Ramesh Taurani, has done in the industry, she added, "Yes, definitely but I don't feel the pressure as such. Because it is important for me to have my own journey and develop my own identity. So, I try not to take the pressure and take it as a challenge. He's always been very supportive. So, when I needed advice, he was there for me. Otherwise, it was learning on a job for me."

For those unaware, Ramesh Taurani is the co-owner of Tips Industries, which has backed movies like Raaz, The Legend Of Bhagat Singh, Race, Race 3, Kismat Konnection, Entertainment, Phata Poster Nikla Hero, Love Shhuda, Kaptaan, and many others. Let's hope Sneha Taurani also entertains the masses with her craft.
