Diwali 2019: Take Cues From Mouni Roy, Hina Khan And Wear Your Pastels With Panache

The fireworks have begun. You know, cause it's Diwali and pataakhas are all we care about. No, not the ones that add to the pollution levels, but the kinds that light up an occasion. The air around is festive and there is no reason not to celebrate. And it's not just us, even Bollywood is gearing up for all the taash parties. But the best part is all the #OOTD inspiration that's about to come our way. Hell, it has already begun and there is absolutely nothing to worry about if you haven't yet picked your outfit for the Diwali party. Cause we have a fair in store and might we add, its colourful. A rainbow that's easy on the eyes; if you didn't get the drift we are talking pastels.

That's right, we are waiting for all the glamour and bling that the B-Town's leading ladies will bring to us with their sparkly, sartorial choices this Diwali and we will talk about that but not before we dish you some style tips. So, from Mouni Roy to Hina Khan, here's looking at the divas whose looks you would want to borrow, you know, swad anusaar. So, here goes...

Mouni Roy

Mouni Roy was everywhere to promote her new movie Made In China alongside Rajkummar Rao and boy, did she make heads turn. Thankfully, she played with a lot of colours and made it to our pastel palette with this beautiful henna green saree. See how she has paired a classic choker with her long-sleeved blouse? Yeah, that's a big win. So don't forget to let your hair down if you pick a similar saree just don't forget to wear your mom's priceless heirlooms (but don't lose it)!

Hina Khan

Even Hina Khan won us all over again in this peach lehenga choli with a beautiful boat neck. Another choker-appropriate outfit, coupled with a matching mangteeka can actually work wonder, as you can see. You can put together earrings of the same jewels or give it a miss like Hina. Either way, you are ready to rock. Just let your kohl-laced eyes do the talking.

Pooja Hegde

Pooja Hegde, who also went to lengths to promote Housefull 4 alongside Akshay Kumar, was spotted in a lime green ensemble that is just waiting to be styled and adapted. The potential of the flowy skirt and sleeveless top should never be undermined and this is a classic example of that. And with a deep neckline, you can either wear a fine neckpiece or shift the attention to chunky earrings and rings like Pooja.

Athiya Shetty

Athiya Shetty is also going to town to promote Motichoor Ladoo and was recently seen wearing a powder blue lehenga set that could make you look nothing less than a princess with the right accessories. Doesn't matter if want to go for snowy wonderland or a laxmi pooja apt OOTN, this colour tone works fine for both.

Shraddha Kapoor

Go ivory or go home and Shraddha Kapoor's elegant outfit tells us why. Perfect for a day/night function, the beaded sharara set is a big YES! With the right smoky eye makeup and chandbaalis, you'd look like dream come true. You could also sport a crop top to give the ensemble a modern spine, just remember to keep it in the same colour family.
