It has to be the biggest development in the remaking of Satte Pe Satta. Farah Khan who is going to return to direction with the new version has apparently got on board Hrithik Roshan to play the lead character. The character was played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original. Currently Roshan is basking in the glory of his latest release Super 30. In the Movie, the actor plays mathematician Anand Kumar and has been receiving much accolades for his portrayal. Coming back to the actor being on board for the remake, the actor in an interview with Times Now gave a cryptic response.

When asked if he is doing the movie, Hrithik said, "No. I don't think you should go by news like that. Until I say what my next film is, I don't think you should...Like I said, let me first look at which films I should do next. I will let you know."

Farah who has directed movies like Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, Tees Maar Khan and Happy New Year has reportedly got on board Hrithik and Deepika Padukone to play the leads in the remake of the movie. While remaking the 1982 film, Farah in an interview said, "My children haven't seen old films. I feel classics need not be touched, like I would not think of remaking a Sholay because I know 'meri bajne hi waali hai usme!' Such films stand the test of time."

She further added how she finds it funt to modernise classic movies. "You have to be careful of what film to remake. You have to take a loved movie but not something that you know you would be compared and (then) torn to shreds. Remakes are now done all over the world. At one time I used to wonder why (remake a movie)? Now I think it would be fun modernising movies I love."

While talking about the movie, a source told a portal, "Farah [Khan] has already discussed the idea with Hrithik Roshan, who has also given a verbal nod to the project. Farah has reworked the whole script and designed it to suit the contemporary times. They needed a superstar who would command the same screen presence as Big B and Duggu was their first choice."
