Thala Ajith and Nayanthara-starrer Viswasam has completed one month at the Box Office and is still running to packed houses at the ticket windows. In fact, it has turned out to be the biggest Tamil blockbuster at the domestic circuit. Apart from the Indian market, the family entertainer has shattered several records at the Overseas Box Office. The film has grossed over $6 million (Rs 42.50 crore) outside India, which is a huge number since it clashed with Thalaivar Rajinikanth's Petta.

Talking about the domestic market, the film has also recorded the highest number of footfalls in Tamil Nadu surpassing Mersal and 7am Arivu. Looking at the current scenario, we are expecting the film to set new benchmarks at the ticket windows. On the other hand, Viswasam marks the fourth collaboration between the director Siva and Ajith after Vedhalam, Veeram and Vivegam. It also features Vivek, Thambi Ramaiah, Yogi Babu, Bose Venkat and Kovai Sarala in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Thala Ajith will soon start shooting for the remake of Pink. The film will be directed by Vinoth and Boney Kapoor will bankroll it. Shoojit Sircar, the producer of the Hindi film earlier confirmed the news of the Tamil remake and told TOI, Yes, Pink is being remade in Tamil. I don t think I will direct it, but the team has said that they will show the film to me once it s ready. As much as I love what Aniruddha did with Pink, I respect the fact that the makers in Tamil want to have their own interpretation of the story."
