Emraan Hashmi and Shreya Dhanwanthary starrer Why Cheat India has turned out to be a flop at the box office. The verdict is quite surprising as it garnered positive reviews from the critics. After getting a poor start on its opening day, Why Cheat India failed to show substantial growth over the weekend. The film raked in Rs 2.64 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 6.80 crore.

Holdover release, Uri: The Surgical Strike has turned out to be the first choice for the cinegoers, which impacted the business of Why Cheat India to a greater extent. Directed by Soumik Sen, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Emraan Hashmi and Tanuj Garg.
Talking about the reviews, our critic and editor-in-chief Tushar Joshi gave the film three stars and said, "The final monologue of the film has Emraan expose the flaws and loopholes in the existing education system. For students and parents both, Why Cheat India is a must watch to experience the lesser known facts about the prevalent system. Also, Emraan fans will be in for a real treat!" Anyway, do you think the film has the potential to remain steady in the weekdays? Tweet to us...
