From Ranveer Singh's Gully Boy to Salman Khan's Bharat: Bollywood's 2019 calendar looks exciting

2018 has turned out to be a phenomenal year for Bollywood, where we also saw audience preferring strong content over Star power. While the aces of the industry, the three Khans failed to impress us, young stars like Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal, Ranveer Singh, Rajkummar Rao and Ranbir Kapoor owned this year with extraordinary performances and their choice of scrips. Talking about 2019, we are expecting it to be grander as we have the proper mix of classy and massy films which are sure to set the Box Office on fire. To prove our point, we list down the films, which are expected to become successes at the ticket windows.

Uri

The teaser and trailer of this Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam-starrer patriotic action venture has struck a chord with the audience and we definitely think Uri has the potential to become one of the biggest surprise hits of the year.

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi

The magnum opus, which is co-directed by Kangana Ranaut, features her in the titular role and has impressed the cinegoers with its action sequences and camera work in the promo. Touted to be the most expensive female-oriented film, the period drama will surely create noise in the cinema halls.

Gully Boy

The fresh pair of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt is enough to garner great footfalls in the theatres. The stupendous success of lead stars last ventures (Simmba and Raazi) will help the film at the box office.

Total Dhamaal

After Dhamaal and Double Dhamaal, Total Dhamaal will be bigger and better thanks to the ensemble star cast of Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi and Sanjai Mishra.

Kesari

Akshay Kumar will give a Holi treat to us with his period film Kesari. The film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi that took place between the Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army and the Pashtun Orakzai tribesmen in 1897. Looking at the impressive first look of the film, we can't hide our excitement for its promo.

Kalank

The cross-border period drama stars Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit and Sonakshi Sinha in pivotal roles. It is directed by Abhishek Varman, who has previously helmed 2 States. It is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta, and co-produced by Fox Star Studios.

Super 30

Hrithik Roshan's amazing transformation as mathematician genius Anand Kumar and his intense look garnered immense praise on Twitter. While the film was earlier slated to release on January 25, now it seems the makers are planning to shift the date.

Bharat

After the Tiger franchise, the hit pair of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will collaborate again for Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat and needless to say that the period film will shatter many box office records.

Saaho

The Baahubali star Prabhas will don a spy avatar in the upcoming thriller flick Saaho. Also starring Shraddha Kapoor in a key role, the mega-budget venture is expected to set new benchmarks at the box office.

Housefull 4

The fourth installment of the hit comedy franchise will come as a Diwali treat for us at the ticket windows. Featuring Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Rana Daggubati in pivotal roles, we are expecting firecrackers from this film at the box office.

Brahmastra

The real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will share screen space for the first time with this action-adventure film. Well, we think this reason is sufficient enough to make it a blockbuster.
