Somewhere we saw this coming, but it would happen overnight is not what we d thought! Deepika Padukone recently tied the knot with Ranveer Singh in Lake Como. The actress was seen wearing a traditional Saree for the Konkani wedding followed by another silk saree at the reception in Bengaluru which concluded last night. While we couldn t our eyes off the saree, it seems like fans couldn t wait to get their hands on the saree. It has been reported that Deepika s sarees from the wedding ceremonies have sold out.
We had reported that the actress s mother picked up both the sarees from The House of Angadi. Acnd now, sources have told Zoom TV that fans have flocked to the clothing store and picked up all the replica pieces of the same saree. The insider also revealed that cost anything between Rs 2-3 lakh. We wonder how many people left behind their phone numbers at the store requesting them to inform them when the saree is back in stock!
For those unaware, Deepika draped a stunning real zari Kanjivaram for her Konkani wedding which took place on November 14, in Italy. The actress looked breath-taking in the Sabyasachi styled outfit. For the reception, she wore a pure gold Kanjivaram saree and added an element of regal to the already grand reception.
Ranveer and Deepika have wrapped the Bengaluru reception and have reached Mumbai. The couple twinned in pink as they made their way out of the airport. The couple will soon host two receptions in Mumbai for their family and friends in the city.
Once the wedding functions wrap up, Ranveer will join Rohit Shetty, Sara Ali Khan and Karan Johar to promote his year-end release Simmba. The movie sees the actor don a police uniform for the first time.
