It’s the festival of Rakhi and let’s take a moment to thank our brothers and sisters for simply being present in our lives and being there for us each time we needed them (or not *winks*). This is one of the many beautiful things in our country, a day dedicated to these pillars of strength of our lives. We all have our own experiences with our siblings and cousins, and we have our own ways to acknowledge them. Well, our B-Town folks too have their stories with their brothers and sisters, and on this day they are all getting emotional and creative on social media to thank them.
Priyanka Chopra who recently got engaged to Nick Jonas, can’t imagine her life without her brother. Deepika Padukone has been the brother her sister Anisha needed. Sara Ali Khan made a promise to brother Ibrahim. Arjun Kapoor added his quirky sense of humour in his emotions for Anshula, while Abhishek Bachchan acknowledged being a partner in crime to sister Shweta. Sonam Kapoor made up for her absence on the festival, Shraddha Kapoor declared that her brothers mean the world to her, whereas Bipasha said her brother was her rock. Check out what these celebs and others wrote on social media… ALSO READ: Taimur-Inaaya, Yash-Roohi, Aarav-Nitara – Meet the cutest brother-sister jodis of B-Town
I’ve got an army of brothers, and this one (@siddharthchopra89) happens to be the leader of the pack (by default) :p Happy #RakshaBandhan! It’s one of my favorite festivals where the sister ties a sacred thread around the brother’s wrist for protection, symbolic of the beautiful bond between siblings. I can’t imagine life without having my brothers in my corner… Love you guys!
like always…i promise to love you, protect you and bug you…forever! I love you smallie…❤️ @anishapadukone

Happy Raksha Bandhan to all brothers and sisters! @iakpataudi I promise to always look out for you and be there for you (even when you don’t want me around) and I hope you continue to boss me around and bully me till you get your way (partly because your way is probably smarter than mine) but mainly because I know you’ll always have my back 🤔🤗 #happyrakhi #rakshabandhan #bestbrother #dogbrother #alwaysandforever

They understand your quirks and forgive your faults. They support your crazy decisions when no one else does. They fight with you like there’s no tomorrow and yet they always have your back. They will always be your #RakshaChakra. I am sending Saif Bhai’s favorite desserts through Panda. This Rakhi let’s do it the amphibian way -‘The helpless woman who needs Raksha is a creature of the past. What she needs is support not protection, and not just from her brothers but sisters are well’ – Link in bio blogs.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/mrsfunnybones/…
