Avengers: Infinity War – All You Need To Know Before Watching The Epic Superhero Film On April 27

Avengers Infinity War is all set to release on April 27, worldwide. The film has been in the making for 10 years now and it has taken a total of 18 films for the franchise to reach this point. So, it goes without saying that you’d have to remember a hell lot. While we expect hardcore Avengers fans to actually remember all the details that will make the experience of watching Infinity War enjoyable, we can’t expect the same from ones who watch movies only for entertainment. So, here we are making it easy for the folks who might have trouble following what’s been happening in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here are all the important points that you need to remember…

SHIELD was always HYDRA – SHIELD is the espionage, special law-enforcement, and counter-terrorism agency that keeps even the superheroes on their toes. HYDRA is the villainous version of them. But in The Winter Soldier (2014), our mighty superheroes, mainly Captain America and Black Widow, dig up the secret that HYDRA was always hiding inside SHIELD, eating it from inside out. So, SHIELD has become non-existent at present.

Captain America and Iron Man are not talking to each other – The Avengers are not technically the Avengers anymore. After defeating Ultron in 2015, they had a huge fallout in Civil War (2016). They did not agree that the government should interfere in how superheroes function. They were left divided into two factions with a bunch of superheroes in each. Infinity War not only has to fight Thanos but is also supposed to rekindle the friendship between these superheroes.

Thanos – He is the supervillain, who we are being teased about since The Avengers (2012). So far he has only made some extremely brief appearances in a handful of movies. He is now taking the matter into his own hands in Infinity War. The villain, popularly known as the Mad Titan, is after six infinity stones that have made appearances in the MCU in various films. The stones have somehow ended up on Earth, inviting the villain here.

Infinity Stones – If supervillain Thanos collects all the Infinity stones, he will become the most powerful being in the universe. We have already told you about the usage, location and last appearances of the said stones. Check it out by clicking here! Beware, you might also learn about the fate that Doctor Strange and Vision will suffer.

Avengers meet Guardians – So far, the Avengers and the Guardians were two separate teams of superheroes, who had never crossed paths. In Infinity War, both will meet and join hands to defeat Thanos.

Gamora and Nebula – Speaking of Guardians, the team includes Thanos’ adopted daughters, Nebula and Gamora. They will help Earthlings defeat Thanos.

The character developments you definitely need to know about in Avengers Infinity War

Thor – The God of Thunder’s home, Asgard, was destroyed by Hele in Ragnarok (2017). He lost one eye trying to defeat her, along with his trademark hammer called Mjölnir, which Hela reduced to pieces. Thor always thought his hammer was the source of his power only to realise it was always within him. Oh, and he was also forced to lose his luscious locks when he was stranded on planet Sakaar. He also met Hulk on that planet.

Hulk – After coming to the realisation that his alter-ego, Hulk, is getting more uncontrollable by the day, Bruce Banner decided to leave the planet in Age of Ultron (2015). He remained in the form of Hulk for two whole years on planet Sakaar. Meeting Thor triggered him to transform into Bruce again. But he now runs the risk of turning into the raging green monster forever.

Captain America/Steve Rogers – After being betrayed by SHIELD, Steve Rogers has lost faith in authority (sort of) after the events of The Winter Soldier (2014) which led to his defiance to the government in Civil War. He has seemingly ditched his Captain America persona after being betrayed by BFF Iron Man in Civil War (2016).

Black Panther – After the events of Black Panther (2018), T’Challa has exposed the world to the abundance of vibranium and the presence of his never-seen-before technology present in his home country, Wakanda. However, why Thanos has come down to Wakanda is yet to be revealed.
