In just a couple of hours, spoilers from Avengers: Infinity War will start flooding the internet. While the world premiere and press shows of the movie are still at least two days away, a premiere of the film for the actors is being held in LA tonight. This will be the first time that the cast of the film will actually watch it and get to know the story in its entirety. You see, none of the actors were even provided with the full script to keep it all strictly under wraps. We are happy for them, as they will finally witness the fruition of their hard work. But here is something that we are not happy about. The original super-heroine of the Avengers, Scarlett Johansson, was once again subjected to a sexist question right before the LA premiere at the Infinity War global press conference. While all the other actors got important questions about their characters and the story, the woman, who is the sole female member of the Avengers, was asked a question on fashion.
At the press conference, before the LA premiere of Avengers: Infinity War, journalists posed all sorts of questions to the actors. A media person from the crowd asked Scarlett about “fashion elements” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Scarlett quipped, ” I got the fashion question?” and the audience began to roar with laughter. Elizabeth Olsen, who also did not get a very important question, was seen covering her face at this exchange of words. ScarJo added, “I honestly don’t know how to answer that question. I wear a leather unitard for most of this film, and I have been for the last 10 years. So if you think of any fashion elements that you would like to include, please let us know.”
SCARLETT JOHANSSON DID THAT!

The question became a butt of jokes for the rest of the night. When Dave Bautista, who plays Drax the Destroyer, was asked about his fight with Thanos, he said, “Aw, man, ask me about my fashion sense.” Winston Duke, who plays M’Baku, was asked about the future of Wakanda but Scarlett threw another question in the mix while he was answering. “But tell us who made that fabulous jacket,” she joked. Pom Klementieff, who plays Mantis, strictly advised not to ask fashion-related questions when she was handed over the mic.

Well, call this the silver lining but Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri in the MCU, was asked a brilliant question. A teacher in the crowd asked the actress about her character empowering women, especially young girls. She said that she wishes she had a character like Shuri in popular media when she was growing up. “…Then maybe I would have stayed in my maths classes a bit longer. But hopefully Shuri has allowed young kids to feel that learning is cool and how young women can contribute to the world with science, math, technology and engineering – that it’s not just a thing for the guys that its also for women to contribute positively,” she added.
