After holding it strong at the box office on its second Friday even after new releases, Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu-starrer October has seen huge growth as the collections on Saturday are almost double that Friday. The Film collected Rs 3.42 crore on Saturday which is almost 85-90%. This comes as a bit of surprise as not many urban films have seen such a growth recently, including the ones which performed well at the box office. The growth is even better than last week, which was around 60%.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote in his tweet, “#October biz jumps again on second Sat… Shows 80.95% growth… Nears ₹ 40 cr mark… [Week 2] Fri 1.89 cr, Sat 3.42 cr. Total: ₹ 35.55 cr. India biz.” [sic]

Looking at the total collection of October so far that is Rs 35.55 crore, if the film remains in the theatres for another week or two, it will easily cross the rs 40 crore nett mark. The performances in the film have been receiving immense praises. Our critic, in our film review, wrote, “Shoojit’s penchant for capturing the essence of Delhi with wide angle shots continues with October too. You can almost feel his presence in the film every time there is a poignant moment between two characters or each time a character has an internal communication of some sort. It is just as tangible as the underlying emotion in the film – that of love. It is so rare to find a film that doesn’t hammer the point or tries to tell you that love should be a certain way. October lets love be. It leaves the emotion open for the audience to decipher in their own way.” ALSO READ: October fails to beat Pad Man and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety; becomes sixth highest opening week grosser of 2018
