Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif‘s Tiger Zinda Hai has set the cash registers ringing since it released on December 22. The movie has raked in Rs 280.62 crore in 12 days at the domestic box office. With that the film has broken several records and looks like it is well on its way to achieve another feat today (day 13). Tiger Zinda Hai is all set to crush the lifetime collections of Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 in just 13 days. If you look at the lifetime collection of Dhoom 3, you will realise that the movie had raked in Rs 284.27 crore when it released during Christmas 2013. With TZH set to rake in more than Rs 5 crore on day 13(today), we expect it to cross the Rs 285 crore mark and thus beat Dhoom 3‘s lifetime collection.
With that, Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai will not only become the sixth highest all time box office grosser ever, but also Katrina Kaif’s highest box office grosser till date. Ain’t that cool? But wait there’s more. With no big release and with a decent word of mouth publicity still flowing for the movie, we are sure TZH will continue raking in the moolah and even beat Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘s lifetime collection (Rs 320.34 crore) and become Salman’s highest all time box office grosser. Won’t that be cool. But we wonder in how many days will it beat the record and if TZH will be able to compete against Dangal or not? That’s somethings we will have to wait and watch. In the meantime, the film has been appreciated for its intense action sequences, fantastic execution and passionate romance. The tremendous word of mouth publicity paired with a huge pre-release buzz and a wide release helped the movie rake in the moolah.
