The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger Zinda Hai has turned out to be a huge winner at the box office. After enjoying an extraordinary opening day, the espionage thriller continued to dominate at the ticket windows on its second days. As per the early estimates, the film has raked in Rs 34.50 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 68.25 crore. By looking at the current trend, it seems that the film will enter the Rs 100 crore by today itself. After the surprising debacle of Tubelight, Salman Khan has come back with a bang thanks to the roaring collections of the film.
On the other hand, Katrina Kaif can now finally have a sigh of relief, with the success of this espionage thriller. Before Tiger Zinda Hai, the actress previous films like Jagga Jasoos, Baar Baar Dekho and Fitoor had failed miserably at the box office. Considering the fact, that Tiger Zinda Hai also has the advantage of Christmas and New Year festive season, which will give a further boost to the film at the box office. Tiger Zinda Hai marks the second collaboration between Salman Khan and director Ali Abbas Zafar after blockbuster Sultan. Interestingly, both the films are produced by Yash Raj Films. Talking about Katrina Kaif, the actress has previously worked with Ali in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan which was also bankrolled by YRF. The film also stars Angad Bedi, Girish Karnad, Paresh Rawal and Sajjad Delafrooz in pivotal roles. By looking at the current trend at the box office and fantastic word of mouth it seems that Tiger Zinda Hai might become the third Rs 300 crore film of Salman Khan after Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
