Sanjay Leela Bhansali: This film salutes her valour and sacrifice
A very emotional Bhansali shot a video to clarify about the rumours of a dream sequence between Khilji and Padmavati. “I’ve made this film Padmavati with a lot of sincerity, responsibility and hard work. I have always been inspired by Rani Padmavati’s story and this film salutes her valour and sacrifice. But because of some rumours, this film has become a subject of controversy. This film salutes her valor and sacrifice. There is no scene between Padmavati and Alauddin that will hurt the sentiments of anyone,” he said in his statement. Check out the video right here…

Deepika Padukone: Nothing can stop the release of this film
Talking to an international news channel, Deepika has said, “It’s amusing actually sometimes when I look at it and I actually look at this as a moment for all of us to be celebrating this woman’s life. To celebrate everything she stood for, to celebrate everything that she believed in, to celebrate Rajput culture and heritage. This is a time for us to celebrate really.” Deepika further added that, “Nothing can stop the release of this film.” While speaking to DNA, she had said, “As a woman, as an artiste, as someone who has worked and given two years of my life to this movie, I feel hurt, I feel angry, but I also think it is extremely funny that people are reacting like this to a film. I am feeling so many emotions at this point.” She even added that she has full faith in the judiciary.

Ranveer Singh: I have been asked not to say anything
Ranveer today opened up about the chaos. ANI quoted him saying, “I am 200% with the film and my Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, I have been asked not to say anything, whatever official stand it is you will get it from Producers. It’s a very sensitive issue.” He had earlier said in an HT interview, “I stand by it as well as Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I also stand by his vision for the film. He had a vision and has done everything to realise it. Vis-à-vis the film, I can just request the audience, and everybody else who have concerns about it, to wait and watch the film.”
Shahid Kapoor: I believe that the film will release
Shahid Kapoor was at IFFI Goa when he was asked about the ongoing Padmavati crisis. IANS quoted him saying, “It will be a precedent which I am not proud of if the film finds it difficult to release. I believe that the film will release. I believe that this process is difficult and like I said, I went through a similar process with Udta Punjab. I eventually saw the film come out and I eventually saw the film loved and celebrated.”
Hope this clears all the doubts about what the cast and crew is feeling presently about the Padmavati ruckus.
