Malayalam Actress Abduction Case: Dileep Granted Bail By The Kerala High Court After Four Attempts

In a surprising turn of events the Kerala High court has granted Malayalm Actor Dileep bail on the abduction and assault case as per reports on The News Minute. The actor had applied for bail plea four times before this. As per the same reports, the actor has been granted bail provided he pay Rs 1 lakh bond. Also, several restrictions have been imposed on Dileep stating he can not influence any witnesses and that he can destroy any form of evidence.The actor has to submit his passport as well. His bail has been granted when the investigation team is set to file the chargesheets. Also the actor must be present when the investigation team calls him for questioning. This is the first new development ever since the Malayalm actor was arrested for his alleged involvement in the abduction and assault of Malayalm actress on July 10. Based on a statement by the prime accused Pulsar Sunil and reportedly prima facie evidence, the actor was taken into judicial custody. The actor had been located in Aluva Sub Jail for the past two months. Each time the actor applied for bail, it was rejected stating he may influence witnesses that in turn could hamper the investigation. For those who have been supporting the actor, this news will come as a welcome relief.

The unfortunate incident took place on February 17 when the actress on her way from Trishur to Kochin. Six men assaulted her including her driver. The actress despite everyhting filed a complaint. On probing further, several evidences pointed towards Dileep’s alleged invovlement, thus making him a prime suspect. Subsequently he was arrested on July 10.

In other news, his film, Ramaleela released after a two month delay. The political thriller opened to positive reviews. The film’s engaging content was hugely praised by fans, critics alike. The movie has also been fairing well at the BO.
